The e-mail to your friends will say:

I thought you might like to join me in urging Senate Leadership to protect access to care for the uninsured in their 2010 budget.

In these unprecedented economic times, the Washington State Senate is turning its back on the state’s principal commitment to providing primary and preventive care for uninsured people: Community Health Services grants.

These grants help community health centers across the state provide primary medical and dental care. Last year, community health centers cared for more than 225,000 uninsured patients — a 14 percent increase over the previous year!

Please take a moment now to urge leaders in the State Senate to fund grants to care for the uninsured at community health centers.

Thank you for joining me in taking action today.
