Health Centers Support Veterans
Nearly 25 percent of veterans in Washington state make less than $50,000 per year. Having a limited budget can make it hard to get the medical, behavioral health, and social services that can help address unique challenges a veteran may face.
Community health centers offer behavioral health services, dental care, and primary care on a sliding fee scale. Health centers offer affordable programs designed for veterans and provide care to over 25,000 veterans in our state every year.
Health Centers support veterans by providing the following services:
- Primary health care
- Dental care
- Mental and behavioral health services
- PTSD support, including support groups, therapy
- Medication at affordable prices
Reach out to your local community health center to learn more about the services in your area. You can find your closest center by visiting the Health Resources and Services Administration here.
