Why are we thanking lawmakers? This year, the state faced a significant budget shortfall, which often means considering cuts to safety net programs. This led the Governor to propose moving the Medicaid pharmacy benefit from managed care to fee for service in his budget proposal released in December of 2025. This change would have resulted in around $100 million of lost 340B funding for community health centers. Luckily, legislators in the state House and Senate rejected this proposal and worked to address the budget shortfall without cutting the health care safety net! This is the result of our collective advocacy that reminds lawmakers that community health centers are a lifeline in towns and cities across the state! Thank you for being part of this effort!
